This donor appeal, which Copland O’Neil created for ASPCA,
was named the 2004 “Package of the Year” by the Direct
Marketing Fundraisers Association.
To win this award, a package
needs to be more than just pretty to look at. It needs to produce
results … big results. And
that’s exactly what our package did for ASPCA. It increased
response by 100% compared to the prior year. That’s right – it
got double the response of the appeal ASPCA mailed at the same
time the year before!
So, did we happen to get lucky? Not when you
consider that we also helped Covenant House win this same award
just three years earlier – the 2001 “Package of the Year” – this
time for an acquisition package that almost tripled the
response rate of their control!
